Shelly Roder Director, Gifts for the Journey Social Enterprise

Shelly hails from the corn fields of Iowa but has found her home in Milwaukee since 2006, where she has served as the Director of Cap Corps Midwest and the Director of Outreach for the Cathedral of St. John prior to joining Franciscan Peacemakers.  A graduate of Creighton University, where she studied Theology and Justice and Peace Studies, Shelly is passionate about community building and racial reconciliation.  Prior to moving to Milwaukee, Shelly co-founded the Gubbio Project, a peacemaking initiative providing daytime sanctuary to people who are homeless in St. Boniface Church. Shelly is currently pursuing a Professional Life Coaching Certificate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with the hopes of coaching individuals and organizations seeking transformation.  Shelly and her partner, Joe, have four kids and are parishioners at St. Francis of Assisi.
